Yutan Junior High Boys basketball ends with successful season.

The Yutan Junior High Boys basketball season ended with a combined record between the A, B, and C teams of 18 wins and 3 losses.  Some of the season highlights were three game sweeps of Ashland, DC West, Elmwood Murdock, and  Raymond Central and two game sweeps of Cedar Bluffs and Mead, winning a majority of the games by substantial margins.  The B team also defeated Wahoo Neumann by double digits, while the A & C games were lost by single digits in the last seconds of the game.  The focus of the season was around all aspects of the fundamentals of the game and team play.

   The boys are now playing in the Twin River Basketball League.  This league consists primarily of Class B, C-1, and C-2 competition from teams around the surrounding area.  Presently both the 7th and 8th grade boys are achieving the same type of success as they did in the Junior High season.  The results from the league can be viewed at   http://www.twinrivervalley.com
